[The feed turns on just in time to catch a sneeze. When Claudia sits back up to look at the feed she's as white as a sheet, her skin slightly damp with sweat. Okay... maybe video was a bad idea in retrospect... but there's no turning back now, is there? She sniffs once before starting, spinning her chair a little as she speaks]

Alright. We get it. A crapload of people are getting sick and everyone else is scrabbling around trying to figure out why and how to stop it. We get that. What we don't have is a lot of show and tell between everyone doing the searching. At least, not that I've seen. People are finding stuff but not everyone's sharing with the class. I mean, I've been playing a little hide and seek, myself, and I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours if you know what I'm sayin'

[She laughs, which quickly turns into a coughing fit. When she finally stops she pulls in a breath that sounds a little painful before continuing]

See? You're killin' me, here! [She chuckles wryly] Come on. Let's all play nice and share what we know. You guys show me and I'll put it all in one place so everyone trying to fix this thing can see what we've got. Deal? Deal.

[She gives Bolin a look as she blows her nose]

Somehow I don't think that's the solution to this crisis but thanks.

[he's seen her like this, before: determination and a one track mind so strong it nearly killed her. they've had confirmation the virus is deadly, and what else could she have? his heart's hammering even as he scowls down at his tablet]

I'm not playing, and you shouldn't be, either. I'm serious, Claudia: leave this to those of us who aren't contaminated! Go find Dr. McCoy or Lady Galadriel.

[She shakes her head, hair falling over her face as she does so]

No can do, mon capitaine. I might not be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound but I can still help and that's exactly what I'm gonna do. We're not working with a six person crew this time, Artie, we've got a whole army of people and nothing's gonna get done if no one knows what's going on.

[She props her tablet up and starts tapping away at her keyboard, already starting to compile everything she knows.]

[Kousuke decides to appear on the camera, because if she's doing it, why not him? His eyes are fever-bright, his face pale. His coughing is not overwhelming at this point, but it's obvious his fever is high.]

Yo, hey, remember me? I thought I'd give you a rundown of my symptoms, see if that helps.

[His voice is hoarse, but he's sounding upbeat as usual.]

Gotta fever, sore throat, coughing, but lately I've been feeling a little more okay, except for my joints are hurting like crazy and the headaches have been gettin' worse. I think it's all due to my gramma's ginger tea.

[He pauses, looking slightly perturbed.]

Wait, right. Gramma's ginger tea cure, Haruto got it for me. Also, lemon and honey is good for that. Uhh...

[He tosses himself back on the covers with some level of abandon.]

Yeah, I'm not a doctor so that's all I got.

[This has got to be the worst return ever, but she has a point.]

Claudia, I do not know much about this disease. [He hasn't ended up sick and he never has been sick so oops.]

I have heard that rest is good for matters such as these.

[beat] Are you talking to me on video from another room in the apartment? Because that's just a new level of weird. [pause] Though entirely understandable given my room should be quarantined...

Thanks for the advice but I've got too much work to do to rest. I'm looking for more info on the bastards who spread this crap, not the disease itself.

Oh yikes, you sure picked a hell of a time to be kidnapped. Sorry to say but they dumped you in the middle of the movie Outbreak and Dustin Hoffman has left the building.

Long story short there's a disease being spread around by the UE by fracking sleeper agents living right here in the city. Thing is? I don't think they all knew what they were doing or that people would start dying as a result. Now all we can do is try to figure out what the hell happened and how to cure this thing before we all end up pushing up daisies.

[WOW this guy talks a lot. Almost as much as she does. She can live with that, though. She nods, typing away at her laptop]

Ginger tea helps. That's good to know. Anything special about it? Brewed a certain way? Using certain things in it? Stirred with a certain spoon?

[He nods a little too enthusiastically, looking at his tablet over his chest.]

Yeah, yeah, honey in it, that helps my throat a lot. Breathin' in the steam helped my cough. But lately, I'm kinda... I been feverish a lot so if you've got any ideas for fevers, let me know.

[Oh, well that's just great and if he were in better shape he'd be halfway through tearing across the city trying to find the source.]

So you're telling me people were just given the disease not knowing it was a disease in the fist place? How bad has it gotten?

Many have said to not go near the sick. Since I am not sick yet I found it best to listen to them. [Which means she'll only have to deal with him through video!]

Have you gotten any ideas?

[he scowls, but the scowl is a little less severe and a lot more worried]

I hate it when you make good points, it reminds me that somewhere underneath all that reckless ridiculousness! - you're actually very smart. [there's one quick huff of a sigh]

Listen to me. Claudia. Please. That's a good plan, it's a wonderful plan and we both know you're fantastic at pulling and compiling information - even if your specialty happens to be pulling the data on the horse after you've already taken the cart out of storage - but you're overlooking one very, very important detail, here, that - as your boss and advisor and whatever touchy feely thing we're not discussing because just - no - I think you should really pay some attention to.

[pause. staer]

[She sighs, giving him a look]

Yeah I'm quite aware of that fact, Captain Obvious but why do you think I'm working to try to fix all this?

Got any ice packs laying around? That's been a huge help for me, honestly.

[He blinks, pursing his lips.]

Nah, not that I know of. Maybe I'll use a cool cloth instead, though lately I've been super, super cold.

[there's pride in his expression, but it's the kind that hurts to feel, due to the circumstances. his girl is hurting herself because she cares so much - Claudia NO. he runs through all the things he could say to her, all the arguments, all the excuses ... and he realizes that he's talking to Claudia Donovan, here. the girl who, Leena pointed out from day one, was too like him for either of their own good. so in the end, he knows what he'd want to hear, and just sighs, exasperatedly. if she's going to be stubborn about this, he will just have to be stubborn about keeping an eye on her. he starts packing his bag.]

[She shrugs it off, pulling her tablet over and starting to type]

[She shoots him a tired smile and a wink]

[Yes, she knows she looks terrible. She looks terrible because she FEELS terrible.]

If you're cold then you should wrap yourself up in blankets or something. [She sighs] Shit, son, I don't know. I'm a hacker not a doctor.
