[it's evening, babydoll's settled on her cot. her katana and gun are next to her, waiting to be cleaned -- something she hasn't done recently -- while she's still in the clothes she came into exsilium with. she didn't want to sleep yet, and exploring the city day and night interested her. the device is held out in front of her and she offers a smile.]

I know things are bad right now, with this virus going around. If anyone needs it, I can help. I haven't come down with anything yet.

[she pauses, glancing down as if she wants to say something else. she holds back and moves on instead,]

After the virus has been rid of, I'd like a training partner. [she doesn't want to take any valued time away from the people who needed help.] I'd also be open to helping others train or people who needed help learning how to fight.

[it's going to help her bide her time as she thinks of an escape plan, or, even better, returns home after the next mission. that's what she hopes, anyway.]

[with that, the feed cuts.]

I'm good with hand to hand and knives. If you can teach me how to shoot a gun real well, I wouldn't mind.

Good. I can teach you how to wield a gun and you can teach me what you know.

[babydoll knows a bit of hand to hand, but she's never been without her weapons for too long for her to really focus on it. it would be good for her. knives, on the other hand, are something entirely different. she knows it's similar to wielding a small sword, but there's so much more to it than using a katana. speed, positions, even steps.]

[a brow goes up, she shakes her head.]

You should focus on getting better first. Training can wait.

[she doesn't exactly want her chances to increase, either.]

[she's probably going to get some form of the virus one way or another, anyway.]

[she had purposefully avoided saying anything about her name, not because she's ashamed of it, but because she knows how most men treat it.]

[His eyebrows raise, but he doesn't comment beyond that.]

[--what? He has the absurd urge to offer her something-- protection, money, anything-- but that's stupid. Just because she looks like his old girlfriend doesn't mean she is, and he scowls at himself.]

[she offers a tiny smile, a look in her eyes that says that there's nothing out there that can hurt her, before the feed cuts.]

[ she frowns, though. alisha has never signed up for anything that would potentially benefit her. a spoiler book, a power that's actually useful, or combat training. she doesn't even think to put her hand up. if she ignores it, perhaps she won't actually need to prepare for a fight … ]

If you're offering to train I'm game. I was kinda learning how to fight with a friend of mine back home so I'd be interesting in learning more.

[she's checking her ammo when she hears her name, hoping that it's a friend, despite not recognizing the voice it came from. she turns to face the source abruptly, looking into the feed. when it's not anyone she considers a friend, her brows crinkle, lips forming a frown.]

[she shakes her head, more confusion washing over her face. who is this man and why does he know her name? she's never seen him before in her life, and even if she had, why is he happy to see her?]
