[Seated with an expression of amusement, Law settled back after turning on his comm and sitting aside from it. He was seated in a small looking little office, juggling a human head in one hand. The young man whose head it was, with brown hair and blue eyes and a load of sedated confusion in his eyes--looked around pensively once in awhile, wincing whenever his head landed and touched Law's palm.

Law didn't seem at all phased by this. In reality, he was treating the man for alcohol poisoning and separated his head from his body in the middle of it, but he had no etiquette when it came to delivering this message. Rather, he just enjoyed himself in the middle of the procedure. The young native man didn't utter a complaint at all, but one could tell this was completely surreal to him. On top of that--the spot where his head was clearly disconnected from his absent body was blackened and doing nothing to bleed. No one could even see blood vessels, bone or muscles through the black lining on his neck.]

I'm in the middle of waiting on something, so I figured I'd make use of this thing to kill a little boredom of mine. Let's talk.

So, just so I can get the gist of what it is I'm dealing with at the moment: How many people have you killed? Can you even remember the numbers anymore?

I was hopin' I could tell ya' some sorta rough estimate if I gave it some thought, 'cept I've been at it since I was a lil' one. A real long time to remember a buncha useless dead folk.

Does leading someone to a place where something else eats them count?

You can kill someone through indirect means. The point is--are you the initial cause of things?

If someone just walks on a landmine, that's not your doing. If you trick them into walking on it, then it's on you.

Just killing isn't really fun to me. Though, I thought the question would be fun since we're all supposed to play the part of soldiers.

And, after all, what is a soldier other than a killer?

My implication had much more subtlety, but in that case you would still be responsible for telling them to do it.

Of course not. This is just me taking a look at other people who've been brought into this situation.

That's denial. If you didn't tell them to walk on the landmine, they most likely wouldn't have.

If you can't handle being a murderer, maybe you shouldn't murder people.

Yeah, I guess that's essentially the case. It's a shame that most people don't understand that murder is still murder, regardless of circumstance.

Adding moral complications makes everything there is boring.

And what has your look shown you so far?

I'm new here, myself. I haven't had much time to look around. I've only met a handful of people. But of those few, I'd say there's only one who seems the type to have lost count of his heads-- the rest are all children or healers or otherwise benign. I'll be worried if that turns out to be the demographical majority.

Though, if the majority of us are 'benign', then I guess the randomization of our collection is proven in spades.
