We've all seen that going back in time and changing history is possible. So, if you were given the chance to pick anything, what would you change?

That's not always the unreasonable choice.

[He would rather not kill anyone, if at all possible, but he knew enough about the world to know that sometimes it was necessary. The hero always had to slay the villain, after all.]

What is he? What did he do?

He gave his body to demons, and they overtook him. Now he aspires to become the most powerful demon ever known, and he takes a special interest in killing excessive amounts of innocent people along the way.

I've dealt with demons before. They're clever...and dangerous.

I think your idea is a good one.

I think it's a good one, too. Not all demons are dangerous or evil, at least where I come from; but when they are it's a hundred times worse than anything else being dangerous or evil.

I've only met dangerous ones. What are the other ones like? [Genuinely interested. Meryl always said that all demons were bad, of course, but Med'an was mature enough now to know that sometimes Meryl was a little extreme...]

Well... they're all different, mostly. Some are bad, others are good. Like humans. Unless... you're not one? I'm not sure how it can be explained, really.
