Who says I didn't? I said I wasn't a doormat.

[There's a pause, debating if he should say it. Zelos is secretive at best. But...why not? What's he got to lose? It's anonymous and even if people found out- what would they do? Not trust him? Ha...they already didn't. At least maybe they'll think twice about trying to use him]

I didn't go along with it. I played sides, pitted them against each other- people wanted to use me before killing me. They tell us you're going to die thinking some will try to run and agree to any stupid plan just to be spared. They didn't count on one of them actually seeing through the trick and using it against them.

Did pretty well too. Two factions crushed, another damaged with the most moral of groups going in for the kill. Heard they were successful too - no one else will be raised like I was. There's gonna be a new future without that system.

[a pause]

...But I didn't see a place for me in that future, and I was tired of living. So I choose I died by my own terms, thinking I was helping someone I cared for.

'Course, the Initiative screwed that all up and turns out I didn't help them by dying but hey- that's just life for you, huh?
