Greetings Exsilium. For those of you who do not know me, I am Queen Medusalith Amaquelin-Boltagon, and from this point forward I will be acting as a direct liaison between the Initiative and Transports. While previously discussed, my appointment now is in part due to the actions of those individuals who procured the space ship and the request for more transparency and warning of upcoming events from the Initiative.

My job, as it stands, is to make sure everyone is informed about upcoming missions and other news with ample time to prepare, rather than the hurried explanations that we are all familiar with at this point. Which is what brings me here before you now.

[ She straightens even further, hair spreading out to cover the rest of the screen that isn't taken up by her body. ]

Recently the Initiative has been working on technology to return those who are unwilling or unable to fight back to the universe of our origin. But it is new and unrefined, and the possible consequences include permanent relocation to a world not your own.

Which is why the Initiative requires a volunteer to return to his or her own universe. The portal will be unstable - it may not open to the correct universe or remain open for long. They also seek a small number of people to go as a security team to protect both the individual who's world you have hopefully traveled to and a number of Initiative members sent to examine the situation.

Again, I must stress that there is no accounting for the dangers one might face, and the consequences it may have for you, your universe, or the team that the Initiative will send with. Do not volunteer if you are hesitant or unprepared to deal with said consequences; however, if you have questions, I will do my utmost to answer them.

Furthermore, if there are any among you who wish to aid me as a liaison, please inform me at your earliest convenience.

I do, however, have a number of questions I would like to address. Should I speak to you or an Initiative member?

[ Her hair twists around her face, bordering on irritated. ]

What sort of aid are you looking for?

And yet you seem to think otherwise. Tell me, sister, if we are to find a way home, what better way exists than forming a good relationship with the people who have that power?

[ She doesn't trust them, but Medusa doesn't trust a lot of people she uses to get her way. ]

Is there, um... gonna be a way to control what time you go back to? Like, assuming you get to the right world and all. Like, theoretically.

It was a happy coincidence - I have been in contact with them trying to arrange a similar agreement for a month or two.

[ A dismissive wave of her hair. ]

Someone to make announcements if I am unavailable, help to manage the requests of other Transports, and the like.

But you've become associated with them, now. To everyone else here. That may not be wise, considering the Transports' frustrations.

So what you're looking for is more like a secretary.

Theoretically, yes. However that level of precision would require further testing and confirmation that reaching the right world is indeed possible.

One, two many namesth. Pick one. Two, if you're acting ath a liaison between transportsth and Initiative, then your title is liaison, not Queen. Three, who the hell voted for you?

And just how long have they been working on that portal back?

[He'd been telling everyone there was no such thing because as far as he knew there WASN'T.]

Right... But if your volunteer was dead back home, what happens? Do they die when they get there? Is there any way to know..?

Most secretaries do not have access to the same information as their bosses.

"Examine the situation", you have said--what would such a thing entail? Would it be possible that this portal to the universe may disrupt its natural workings? I would imagine these questions may not yet be answered, yet I would prefer to know where we stand beforehand.

Medusalith will suffice, and while I may no longer be in my universe my title does not change. [ There's an unimpressed look at the last question. ] This is anarchy, not a democracy. I cannot be faulted for the lack of political action taken by those here.

[ She just took advantage of it. ]

Which this is an attempt at alleviating. [ She notices that concern, and her expression softens slightly. ] I find that a society that complains and protests and yet is incapable of forming a single organization to rally against a concrete 'enemy' is not a group of individuals to fear.

Beforehand? No. But it is unlikely that he or she will die upon their return as the Initiative revived that individual upon their arrival here.
