So, um, first off I just wanted to say hi to all the new people! And say that I'm sorry you're kind of stuck here, too. It's tough, but there are lots of nice people here, so if you're having trouble with anything I bet you'd be able to get help. Except going home, that's still a mystery for everyone.

[And then a smile breaks out on her face, and she moves her tablet so the feed shows a wing of one of the gyms with a barre running along a wall, and mirrors attached to that wall. As quickly as she turned the camera away from her face, it's focused back on her.]

I know last time that I mentioned I was looking for a place to dance, and some other people mentioned they'd be interested in the same thing, so I asked the Initiative people if it would be okay if we could have a wing in one of the gyms to turn into a place for the dancers here to practice. And, um, they said yes, so here we are! There's not going to be formal lessons or anything, unless somebody else wants to set something like that up. I just wanted to let everyone know that they can stop in whenever they want to!

Oh, and - if there's anybody interested in going outside the city sometime, I'm looking to take a trip or two. Before anyone gets all worried, I know to be really careful, and I've done it once before.

So how old are you when you're thought of as an adult, then?

When we are fifty but we are fully matured by the time we are one hundred.

Wait, what's the difference between being an adult and being fully matured?

Once we're fully matured, we don't change in appearance. By fifty, we're still growing. I suppose we'd be more young adults than anything by then.

Oh! Wow, fifty whole years. That's hard to wrap my head around!

So you said there were elves and humans in your world, but is that it?

Oh no, there are also dwarfs, hobbits, ents, the dúnedain, eagles and much more.

And then there are the less savory of creatures, those who are violent and murderous like the orcs and goblins.

What are hobbits? And ents? And dúnedain? I've never heard of any of those before! Not orcs, either. They don't sound really nice, though, so you don't gotta tell me about them.

Hobbits are small folk, there are a couple here I believe. I'd never met a hobbit until coming here but I'd heard them named. Ents are large, tree-folk almost but not quite, they look like trees and are called tree-herders. Elves taught the ents to speak. As for the dúnedain, they come from Númenor which is long since gone from the world.

So they're, like, trees that walk and talk? That's so weird! I wouldn't want to be a tree even if I could still move around and do stuff.

So they're extinct? That's really sad.

That's the easiest way to think of them, yes. They're happy as they are, though if you ever meet an ent they never rush anything. As long as they live, they see no point in haste.

Oh no, they live on and continue their line though they no longer live in Númenor.

How long do they live?

Oh! That's better, then, though it's sad they lost their home. What are they like?

I'm not quite sure actually. Tree have very long and hearty lives so I'm certain that ents do as well.

I know only one of them, Aragorn whom my husband raised. They're quite skilled and have longer lives than Men.

Well, if they live a long time, I guess it makes sense they don't see much point in hurrying!

Oh, your husband raised him? So is he, like, your adopted child?

Quite true! And trees are quite set in their ways.

[She smiles, even laughs softly, and nods.] I suppose that, in a way, he is. Although, before returning, he told me that he was going to marry my daughter.

Oh, wow, you have a daughter? That's wonderful! Would you tell me about her? And him, too. They must love each other so much!

I have three children, actually. Elladan and Elrohir were my firstborn, twin boys. And Arwen was given to us a century later. I only know a bit of Arwen as she was grown and only because she was here as well. My mother and husband told me though that she is said to be as beautiful as Luthien Tinuviel. She and her brothers all inherited their fathers hair.

They all sound wonderful! Arwen is such a beautiful name. I hope you're able to go back to them soon. It sounds like you have an amazing life waiting for you.

They are, truly they are. My family brings me more joy than I could ever have imagined. I can't wait until I can return to them.

Yeah. It's weird, like - I'd hate for anyone you love so much to be stuck here, but at the same time, I'd really like to meet them! Oh, well.

I wouldn't want them to be here, no matter how much I ache to be away from them. You'd like them though, I've no doubt.

Yeah. The way I think of it is, like, being apart from the people you love hurts, but it's not as bad when you have your memories with you. At least you can think of them. For me, at least, that helps.

True words, indeed. Words that should be taken to heart by many here. Sometimes, I can't help but worry though. Arwen is still just a baby.

Well, I've heard that when you go home, you return to the exact moment you left, so - she won't have spent any time without you, if that helps at all!

We do, but I still can't help myself. It's hard from a mother to be parted from her children.

Yeah, I can't even imagine what that might be like. I mean, I had loved ones, but I would think blood relatives would be a lot harder, especially children.
