[There's a deep-seated rumble in what used to be Eastern Asia--Gilgamesh standing in the heart of a volcanic nightmare. In front of his hovering mirror, he held a stone 'sword' which spun on a cone's inner axis, red wisps of electricity and vapor dissipating from it. Each time he gestured with the sword, there was a massive earth-quake. The land itself shook, lava spraying up in geysers above wherever it was Gilgamesh stood.

After some time, he seemed content with what he had done, whatever it was. Over his free hand, a gold and silver set of blades spun on his forearm, much like a drill. He advanced, burying his arm into the ground and sending up sheets of rock around himself. The spinning red sword ceased its spinning at the same time.

When he seemed to be 'done' with it, Gilgamesh allowed it to vanish from sight. The sword itself became golden vapor and was gone just as quickly as it had been spinning. With a voice laced with raw irritation, Gilgamesh spoke up again.]

I will bringing you materials. Uncorrupted materials, beyond the poison in the ground. And seven days after this--I will bring you more. Make no waste.

The world must return to what is raw. In that, it must burn, first. [He had yet to use the Star of Destruction, but then again he wasn't done harvesting, yet.]

But, your assumption is correct. It is weaker. There are no ley lines. This world has lost its means to rejuvenate itself in the same way it once would--a mere husk of its former pride.

[At that, Gilgamesh sunk Enkidu's blades into the ground and began to remove harder sheets of rock by major chunks.]

Tiamat lives no longer, but at her core is the material which may rebuild my kingdom. I have no qualms with sundering her corpse.

Your purpose for all of this is to rebuild your kingdom?

[ He better not be thinking of returning here with that attitude. If anything, Saber's defensive of the land the hold rests on for sentimental reasons. ]

Do you think people will stand by and allow you to do that? [ That earlier remark on burning the world leaves her unsettled in a way she can't quite explain. ] We were brought to this realm for another purpose entirely.

Our arrival was an accident. My arrival--a fortunate accident. Those around you risk their lives for the sake of a pathetic goal. The restoration of a community which would destroy itself pointlessly and arrogantly.

[Gilgamesh thought nothing of ripping up the Earth for this goal. Ripping apart Tiamat and harvesting her like carrion seemed fitting for a demigod known for destruction and chaos. Even he could admit that his ridiculous approach was something beautiful.]

A community which would destroy itself again if unguided. I will watch them burn again--and those survivors will have a better chance under my rule.

[ Fire and Archer bring terrible memories forth to her, memories that she's tried time and time to forget. A city suffocating under the smoke of the grail and--! ]

I refuse. [ She says as though she can stop him. ] I refuse to allow you to purge this world of life.

[ This was her country. The kingdom of Britain stands underneath her feet crying out for their king and so she will stand for them in return. ]

[What a causeless statement. Gilgamesh glowered at Saber, his Noble Phantasm made of rotating blades as if Pee Wee Herman designed it stopping and the boil of magma beneath his feet becoming more audible in the gap of noise.]

I have no interest in purging life, Saber. There are those present already worthy of my rule.

[He glowered, wondering if this was another assumption she wore--because she knew him from another time.]

Do not play a game of assumption with me.

Then what else am I to think when you talk in the manner that you do? [ It's difficult enough to not pass judgment so readily, but when he speaks so casually about watching them burn. ] Will you stand by while they continue to tear themselves apart and pick the pockets of corpses as though you are nothing more than a common thief?

[ Maybe, just maybe, she shouldn't patronize him while he's drilling a hole into the ground. ]

Hold your tongue. [His anger boiled in an instant and though he was far from her, Gilgamesh was content to imagine just how much this woman would writhe if he set his hands on her. To be spoken to that way did nothing more than boil him and set aflame his ire.]

What fool of a Hero are you, believing that you may speak to the True King in such a way? This world is mine--there is nothing I may steal rather than reclaim.

If my identity interests you that much, then you are welcome to come discover it along with your defeat by my blade.

[ Picking a fight is sure to upset Shirou, but the boy needs to know that when the challenge rose, Saber was sure to go for it. ]

You speak of being a True King, yet I see nothing kingly about your manner. Only tyranny and arrogance, both of which will do you no good here. Not when there are those from worlds not your own and who choose to not accept your title as such.

[Gilgamesh touched his chin, finding Saber's statements to be absolutely without merit, though she had raised his ire and curiosity in one go. He had no inclination to believe that there was a reason to... not obliterate this woman and her ridiculous beliefs.]

...For you to speak to me as such, you must understand the ramifications. I'll crush you, worm--present yourself and your knightly stupidity so that you may know the embrace of the dirt!

[Though he would have one crippled arm as a result of utilizing Enki and cancelling its ability early, he didn't think much of a challenge.]

[ Pissing off Gilgamesh is a trait that Sabers seem to possess. There's a bit of reluctance as she thinks on how to manage this so the two of them don't destroy the world around them. ]

Where will you have us do battle? [ Knowing him, he'll have her come to him. What a chore. ]

Do not be so foolish to believe that this will be anything at all resembling a battle, Saber. You will be found.

[Gilgamesh cut off his camera feed, the Vimana turning over and spreading its wings--reappearing over the city in roughly a half hour.]
