You should ask those who laugh what effort they have made to see us freed.

A good idea, though I can sense that perhaps they have tried and failed enough times to seem it impossible. Those who have seen their own hopes dashed enough are quite often the most vocal against others who try to change it.

Perhaps. With any luck, those people's hopes will be rekindled in the coming... months.

[He's not sure how long it will take to escape this place. It's definitely not a small number of weeks, but he so loathes the thought of being trapped here for years on end, he settles with the in-between of months and leaves it at that.]

I'll certainly not simply sit on my laurels waiting. I'll investigate what I can, of both the Initiative and the United Earth.

And I'll see if I can't stir up a bit of trouble to spite them.
