What would you do if you found out that someone you cared about passed away? What if you knew who to blame for it?

Would you make them pay somehow or would you go out and find a new solution?

I just want to know your opinions. My reasons for asking are a little personal, sorry.

Death is the natural order of things.

Some people believe that dying before your natural lifespan expires is...wrong, murder and such, but people die when they have to. Vengeance wouldn't change that.

Having said that, I'd probably still take it.

I wouldn't forgive them. But I don't think enacting some kind of revenge would help, either.

( ohhh boy these hit close to home. )

That would depend on the circumstances of their passing. Is it something still to happen for you?

...Even if you knew who did it, that'd do nothing to bring your loved ones back to life.

...I guess it depends on what the other person did.

Depends on how and why the person was killed.

Your words are a little vague. Do you mean to ask what people would do if someone they cared for was murdered and they knew who killed them?

My apologies, Ouma. It seems I have started something I should possibly had let remain as it was.

I'd see if there was some way to prevent it from happening in the first place. If you change the past, you can change the future.

[ As is obvious by the work they're doing in this place. ]

And if that isn't possible, well... I'd try my best to keep them from hurting more people. It's never good to have hate in your heart, and revenge won't soothe it.

i would grieve
i would grieve a great deal
but i would also try to honour their memory
and revenge is never the way of doing that

Then I'd know two things that wouldn't make me very happy but might help me understand something about the people I care about and what maybe can... I dunno, change if we look hard enough.

It's not making someone pay if they're not going to feel what they did was wrong. Besides, if you don't find a way to change it, if you don't look for that, what're you really doing with your time here?

[The only word that can really describe Gai's feelings right now is "disappointed." He'd had faith in Shu, trusted him, and for what? This? This is how little trust Shu had for him even with his memories back?

He's starting to wonder whether allowing himself to die was really the right choice if this is how Shu is going to handle things. Well, either way, it's out of his hands now, and whatever is going to happen will happen whether he wants it to or not.

But he's still angry and disappointed and will not be well-disposed towards his former friend when next they meet.]

[ He normally wouldn't respond with a genuine answer to such philosophical pondering, and on the off-chance he did, it would be something along the lines of 'the law'. But not today. This is something that's been weighing on his mind far too heavily of late. ]

What would you consider a 'new' solution?
