[ The man that speaks is British, sophisticated. His manner of speech is calm and thoughtful. He’s still trying to get a feel for this device which was pushed on him when he’d arrived moments ago. ] It seems I should consider myself lucky. Though how a dip into the filth of the harbor saw that I was needed to be brought here is beyond me. Hmm.

I cannot say I expect much more of an answer here than that blasted woman gave; she seemed more intent on outright ignoring the questions I had posed to her. Nonetheless—if anyone comes across a man of dark skin and dark hair, similar to that of a Mohawk man, let it be known to all that he won’t think twice before having you thrown into a river as well.
Oh! I should also mention that he appears rather … disgruntled as of late. [ Is that sarcasm or a hint of amusement? ] It might be in your best interest to keep your distance.
