So, I get that you guys called everyone here from... all these different worlds for this war.

[adell has managed to operate the video on this thing and somehow avoided breaking it. he's operated cellphones before in the netherworld, and... okay, isn't completely technology stupid; after all, televisions and stuff exist too.

he looks at the camera questioningly.]

So what's with the big feasts and dances and all that? I mean, if that's all we're gonna do, you can just send me home now. If you called me here to fight, then let's fight. And if someone'd like to work out and spar with me in the meantime, that'd be great too.

Standing around doing nothing just isn't my style.

Well...the dance was....it was for....[....fu...n....? .D. Med'an likes fun....he hadn't really thought about it honestly. He's easily distracted.] ...I can spar.

Cool. I mean, everyone here's gotta know how to fight. They wouldn't bring people who didn't know what they were doing, right?

[adell, being unfamiliar with 'the season', doesn't really know what she's on about.]

Yeah. I mean, that would make sense. [HE DOESNT REALLY KNOW BUT yeah it does sound reasonable. Although there are multiple kinds of fighting, aren't there? Hmm...] But what kind of fighting can you do? Weapons, or magic, or...

Many worlds - including my own Finally something in common with this place for once - have holidays around the winter solstice.

So of course they want to do what they can to make those days fun for us. Though the whole Non-Denominational bit's kinda overkill. Why not just say it's the Winter Solstice?

I agree, if the situation is as dire as they claim it to be, it's hardly the time for merrymaking. Standing around doing nothing is unacceptable.

I mean, I don't mind the free food, but don't we have better things to be doing than dancing? Like, don't we wanna get this over with so we can all go home?

Welcome feast to try and get people fed after they've been pulled in. It's a nice touch, considering what it could be like.

I get the sense this other celebration has been planned for a while. Better not to make assumptions when we're the new ones in this situation.

You're making it sound like we have parties all the time! If only!

An army needs to stay well fed so the free food is the least they can do. I don't know what these officials are thinking, but if all our worlds are in danger, it's certainly no time to be dancing.

However, it's doubtful they will listen to our complaints.

... I just tend to make observations. I'm still adjusting to this place using different rules than my homeworld.

i guess but ive got things to go back home to so id like to be home as soon as possible. i was brought here to fight not to party i can do that at home too

Well, I just got here and there've already been two. Where's the action?

[adell is not a party person! well, he might be, if he were here with people. unfortunately he hasn't had the time to do that, so no parties for him outside of stuffing his face full of food.]

[adell nods approvingly. see, this is a guy who gets it!]

Exactly. I don't know who these "United Earth" guys are, but I came here... or, was brought here, I guess ... to kick some ass, and there is no ass-kicking going on here.

As far as I can tell, there's no guarantee helping the rebellion will get you home any more surely than waiting around will. The process is random both ways. This whole Initiative can't give us anything close to a guarantee.

Do you always make them out loud?
