If I needs must live with this Midgardian technology, I would better understand it. Being surrounded by machines I know not the purpose of is discomfiting. [He sighs. Why must things change?] Happily, the library is more straightforward, although a bit overwhelming in its breadth. The history of this place appears quite different from that of our Midgard, and does not seem to include the rest of the Nine Realms. They seem to be spoken of only in mythology.

I am spending most my days at the training hall. Any who would seek me may find me there. Those whom I have promised to spar with or to train may join me at any time.

Well, 'tis true that the universes often intertwine ... perhaps our people were here once for a time. That is most likely it.

'Tis not something we generally do on purpose [because they're a bunch of homebodies who just want Asgard to stay awesome] but it can be necessary or unavoidable.

Many dangers lurk in the other universes that are not known. [Which would be how he died last time.]

Yes. The unknown is a difficult thing to fight. But when they strike you down, you may hunt them in death.

Well, you are not always granted the privilege, but some offend even the goddess of death.

Death is a goddess where you're from, and she kicks people... wait, if death kicks you out of someplace, are you alive again, or just undead?

That depends. There are other places the dead may go.

In my case, I recently went to the void to fight the devils there so that they might not be devoured and become power for Surtur.

If Surtur had eaten them, he would've increased his power to the point where he could escape the Void and threaten the living worlds.

Where's the Void? Who's Surtur? Why would he threaten the living worlds? Does that mean there's a bunch of dead worlds too?

Surtur is an enormous fire demon and the devourer of all things. And yes, there are many dead worlds. For us, when we die we chiefly go to Hel or to Valhalla.

That depends. Ours is not the only afterlife. And I cannot claim to have visited any but our own.

'Tis not usually something I am even aware of. But now the cycle of Ragnarok has ended, and we no longer lose our memories with our lives.

Yes. We were destined to repeat the same lives endlessly, locked in our fates ... but now 'tis no longer.
