--we just called it the Geth War. The geth called it the Morning War. We -- our home planet was overrun by the machines, and by the end of the war, the death toll was in the billions.

[Not millions, billions. It was easy to see why the quarians had been so hesitant to give the geth another chance, even if not all those deaths were because of geth -- and the geth expressed remorse for the deaths they had caused.]
