[She quirks a quizzical eyebrow, a barely there smirk curling her lips.] You're lucky I know better than to be jealous. [Since she knows who that gift is for.]
No. There's not really anything artistic about me, I'm afraid. Even if I remember playing the piano in Adstringendum. So I might have learnt that there.
Anyway I've gotten pretty good at fixing broken things. And I know someone here who plays music and could tell me if I fixed it right. For when do you need it?
[A pause at what he says next. With all the things they had to go through - the bombing, the mission and the monsters - he still remembered and find the time to do this for her.) You did? ...May I see it?
[ He remembers a bit of Adstringendum. He remembers making a bunch of makeshift bombs and weapons out of scrap metal with the help of someone named... Yoku? Yuko? Yoki? All he remembers about her are big breasts. And a bigger gun. ]
Yeah. I did.
[ He smiled behind the mask, and holds it up. Exactly the same as it was before; a bunch of adhesive X's stuck together making a bracelet, with some painted purple with the red. Only this time, there was now a single black feather in it. ]
You'll have it before that. Just bring that guitar to me whenever.
[Her fingers brush against the screen as she takes in every detail of the bracelet. It's even more beautiful than what she remembered. And that black feather? She didn't remember it at all but everything in this bracelet seems so thoughtful, and meaningful. She smiles, one of her rare genuine smiles that only those who manage to get to her can get.] It looks pretty nice. But I'll only be able to say that for sure when you give it to me.
Alright. Try to be there early. [Don't keep her waiting.]
[She nods.] I had guessed you were planning to fix his guitar as a Christmas present, yes. So telling him would kinda defeat the purpose, don't you think? ...That said maybe you should leave him an anonymous note of sorts. Else he might be really sad when he finds out his guitar was stolen.
And here I thought you were like boy scouts. [Always ready. She's teasing him but it's rather harmless, right?] But that's fine. I've got a book to finish anyway.
