wow, there sure has been a lot of crazy shenanigans going on lately.
i managed to avoid getting tackled by those freaks in the masks. up until today, anyways.
it involved lots of strategic flying away and running really really fast.
but now the back of my neck is REALLY ITCHY and it kind of hurts too.

but anyways.
there are a lot of you new people!
i didn't look through everything because i have been busy trying to avoid that microchip thingie.
but i don't think i see any of my friends.
that's good, even if i miss them.
because they have important stuff to do at home!

i'm not really sure what i want to ask everyone, or even what i am trying to say.
i guess i am just talking to talk.
i miss my house.
and my dad.

From this place I think of the islands. I am not having been there in times and I want to hear the birds . . .

Did they chip you?

A different faction from the one that kidnapped us, I believe. They don't seem to know what's going on here any more than we do.

I suspect that's for the best.

[ how does she shot emotions. oh man he wants like... comfort or something. ]

It certainly seems to be for real, yes.

As for your theories about the chip, I haven't heard anything like that from those studying them, so hopefully they are simply monitoring devices. Though that is definitely something to look into.

The chip can be removed. You've got to keep it safe, though, if you take it out. Rather like that old folktale about the giant who kept his heart in a box, only instead of a heart, it's a bloody tracking device.

Wouldn't suggest cutting it out yourself, no. Get someone else to cut it out. The clinic can do it with a minimum of fuss and some numbing substance to prevent the pain. They've got at least one healer mage, too, and that helps a fair bit.

I'd offer to do it myself, only I broke the last one I helped remove, and you absolutely mustn't break the thing.

Im sorry that happened to you John

No. It doesn't explode. Nothing at all happens to the chip once you break it; and you've got to put some effort into that. I destroyed one deliberately. It wasn't the wisest thing I've ever done.

When it breaks, the blighters who stuck the first one in come round to give you a second, and that one can't be removed. Not safely, anyhow. Not by anyone I know.

That's why I say you'll want to keep the first one safe, once you've had it out.

[Directions to the clinic follow, with the Initiative Hold as starting point, it seeming the most logical reference.]

As regards talking about it here: the whole business has been discussed at length, several times over; won't do us any good to play coy now.

Your other point's a fair one, more than fair, really, except that no one's found a way to keep the excised chips moving without a person doing the carrying, and if we're going to carry them around with us, why bother taking them out at all? It's worth some consideration, this. Any nonhuman conveyance you can suggest? One smart enough to keep from breaking the chips itself, ideally.

You didn't get chipped, did you? 'Cause that's not good. Just saying.

[shrugging.]

But you're not the only one with a quest to do. Or family you're missing.
