[ Sayaka's at the markets today, if her surroundings are any indication - a rare display of being somewhere other than her room or the training facility. She stares down at the camera for a moment or two before speaking, as if deciding whether to actually continue or not. ]

So I was wondering... some of you have been around for a while, right? What do you do for fun here? Training's okay, but I'd like to try some other stuff too. [ Possibly a lie, but she is sick of relying on others to get out and about. It's a safe way of asking without being too obvious.

She hesitates before shutting the feed off, glancing around until a nearby display grabs her attention. A tiny frown crosses her face. ]

... This place needs better music.

[ Priorities, yes. ]

What kind of stuff interests you?

Seriously? That doesn't sound like much fun.

I enjoy it. More than most of other people I know, granted, but--...

[ ... Well... he could mention what Larxene, Xigbar, or Demyx consider fun, but... he doesn't like torturing people, or drinking, or loud music. ]

Anyway, this place doesn't look like it's got a music department.

I'm not really picky. Back home I used to just hang out with friends a lot, but there doesn't seem to be many places to do that here.

Yeah, you're right. You'd think someplace this far into the future would have a decent selection, but...

[ Yes lmao those are probably not... the best things to suggest. ]

I guess there's nothing wrong with it. [ It just seems... boring. This is why Sayaka is really really dumb. ] What kind of books do they even have here?

[ a hopeless chuckle, and a shrug of his shoulders. ]

They've got better things to do.

Why are you asking, anyway? Bored?

[ Zexion then flicks the camera on. She seems harmless enough, after all; if only because he's unaware of the concept of magical girls. ]

Most of it reads like white-washed revisionist history, but it's telling in its own right.

[ He then holds up... well... this. ]

The Initiative gave me this as my weapon, though what it says reads like some kind of crazed political manifesto. I try not to get too into much into it. I prefer reading this, instead:

It's not as powerful of a weapon as the other one, but it's a bit more entertaining.

[ He hasn't stopped reading it since he's gotten it, after all. ]

[ But nothing is more important than music!! ]

A little. I mean, this place isn't so bad, but we didn't get brought here to sit around.

[ Sayaka's hardly a book expert, but she knows those definitely aren't normal. She stares at the screen, curious. ]

Wait, your weapon is a book? How does that work? [ You'd think being a magical girl would open her eyes to the possibility of other weird things... but nope. ]

Oh. What kind of places were there to do that back where you're from?

We'd usually go to a café, or the arcade... sometimes we'd even try karaoke! [ Though nobody wants to be subjected to that, tbh. ] None of that really seems to be around here. I mean, the marketplace is decent, but it'd be nice to have more options.

Arcades are where games are played right? I don't think I've seen anything like that around, I'm sorry. :\

[ You'd think so, wouldn't you? ]

It's actually a lot more useful than it sounds.

[ ... But he's not dumb enough to give away exactly how it works when he's sure Riku is within earshot. ]

What kinda music do ya like?

You don't have to apologize. I mean, it's not your fault or anything. It's just kinda weird, you know? We're in the future, but sometimes it doesn't really feel that way.

It's still really weird. [ She is imagining him beating enemies over the head with it for attacks. Intelligence, thy name is Sayaka. ] I mean, my swords are pretty useful even without their help, so I don't have to worry.

Classical, mostly. [ Which is probably a little strange, but. ] I'm not really expecting to find anything from home, but some of this stuff is really weird.

Where I'm from, we have a saying! "If you can't find fun, make it"!

[ Trucy that is not a culture specific phrase ]

.. But I guess we need somewhere to start.

Maybe sometime I'll show you how it works.

[ To him, swords, even when he's mimicking someone who uses them, are just so restrictive. His lexicons have a lot of very creative uses he's come up with for them, after all. ]

But you said swords, plural. You use more than one?

I guess so...But then I'm not really sure what to expect out of the future! Bigger cities I guess...
