Hi everyone. I've been thinking. If we're all going to be stuck here for a long time, I figured I should find out everyone's birthday and if they have a favorite meal or type of cake. If you'd please respond to this message with your name, birthday, and a little bit about you, I'd really appreciate it!

On that note, I was thinking. If people keep turning up, we should have some sort of monthly event so everyone can get to know each other, introduce ourselves and catch up and celebrate one another's birthdays. Like a potluck, maybe? There are too many people to do do this at my apartment, so I'd need to figure out a spot. What do you think?

Oh, by the way. I'm Mahdi. I like cats, singing, and cooking. My birthday is Valentine's Day!

Well, maybe once every month. But it's nice to know people's birthdays so you can wish them happy birthday personally.

I'm a cook, and I'm sure some other people are too. The idea of a potluck is everyone brings a dish, after all. That should take some of the burden off.

Do you have any idea where we could have a group meet-up like that? Somewhere with tables and chairs and space and plug enough for hot plates?

It's a yearly celebration of the day you were born. You don't celebrate that?

People have been here a few months already. Someone's bound to have had a birthday. And it would be nice, you know... I figured it would be a way to get to know everyone.

If they can't send us back, then we need to try and make this place our home.

Maybe! I don't think I could handle putting together more than a monthly thing for birthdays, but it'd be a great time to have your own exchange during your birthday month.

I just want to get to know everyone! And it'd be nice if we could have one day a month where we all get together. If we can't go home, then we should start trying to make this place like home.
