[When the video clicks on, the entire screen is occupied by a large brown nose sniffing interestedly. The camera pulls back to reveal Nathaniel sitting outside under a tree, an energetic puppy wriggling in his lap.]

This is probably a longshot, but does anyone happen to know who this belongs to? He's sort of been following me around all day...

You may end up taking care of the animal. Do make sure to name it.

I figured as much, but I thought I'd try. Everything was apparently really chaotic here while we were gone, so I thought the dog's owner might have just lost him.

Considering the changes, I cannot say for sure that he was lost. It could be that his owner is lost and never to recover.

I'm afraid it's a lost cause, Nathaniel. It already likes you.

I thought at first that he might be some form of mabari. They imprint on their masters, and stay loyal to them for life.

But I can't imagine they'd have mabarid dogs here. I believe they were first bred in Tevinter.

I can't imagine Tamrielic canines imprinting on their masters. But then again, I'm only familiar with the wolves that kept sneaking into our farm. Your dog looks a lot more amiable.

Oh, he's cute. But if he's following you around, maybe he's decided you're to take care of him.

I suppose he has. Which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, I guess. Though if he has an owner, I'd like to return him.

You could put up a flyer, I guess, asking around. If no one claims him in a week or so, I think it would be fair to say he's yours.
