[Aidan is talking incredibly fast and looks quite hyper, perhaps even manic to an unhealthy degree.]

Billy is in jail because he went nuts and I am looking for strength for him because he wanted to find it. I'm not sure exactly what he's looking for but he can't find it right now.

He said he wanted the strength to leave. Does anyone know where I could find this? Is it in the city? I'd rather not leave the city, but if I have to I will. Any help finding the strength to leave I'd be really appreciative. And I'm sure Billy would be too.

[And after he posts to the network he can be found skating and swinging around the city, ignoring most people, but approaching random people he deems likely to help him find his goal of "The Strength to Leave" which he seems to be choosing without rhyme or reason.]

[Anyone who is looking for the signs of the weird shadowy influences, might notice a telltale shadow around him every so often, and as time goes on his manic behavior only intensifies. He's likely to injure himself if he keeps this up, and he doesn't seem to show any care in the world to that effect.]

((Feel free to be a person he randomly asks, or to stop him to try and figure out what's wrong, or even join him on his quest! Anything really. This post was pretty spur of the moment, so I don't have any particular plans for it.))

[Celena rose an eyebrow at that before shaking her head with a wry smile.]

It emphasizes only what they believe to be true, not what actually is true then. For one I know for a fact that Billy is far from worthless..more so than most.

What has it tried to whisper in your own ear?

[She frowns a little as she regards Aidan.]

Something that is actually true. I am very technically crazy, if we use the definition of crazy "in a constantly abnormal state of mind." That's a fact. Beyond that it has mostly be giving me inclinations of what to do rather than what to think.

[He seems to be somewhat calmer now, though he is still antsy and talking quicker than you'd expect.]

Oh? What may be normal for one individual may well be considered abnormal by another.

[She nods though as she takes that in, regarding him curiously.]

Not what I mean, I'm crazy because my brain doesn't work properly. It's a disability I've lived with my entire life. Even Billy would agree with me in a rational state of mind, so don't spend too much time trying to convince me otherwise.

[He smiles, almost as if he was... at peace with this? Well... that might be the demon talking though, but he is definitely a lot calmer than he was a few minutes ago.]

Very well then, I mean no disrespect.

[Celena regards him for a moment at that with a slight smile. Calmer did seem to be a good thing however, that she could at least work with.]

Might I inquire as to the nature of your disability?

[He waves her off.]

None taken. I'm literally incapable of being afraid which is why I need to be strong for Billy because he seems to be afraid of himself right now for one.

[Her eyebrows raise slightly once his 'condition' is explained, now that was quite curious.]

Indeed? That is something I have come across in my travels.

[She dips her head to that. Offering a slight smile.]

We both shall be for him shall we not?

Yep. [He stops and thinks for a moment] But how?

Indeed.

[She ponders a moment on that.]

We need to find a way to help mitigate the effects it is having on him, whether in showing him that what he believes to be 'true' is not as true as the influence would make it seem. Or at least help him endure them until the source of this influence can be located and stopped.

However indeed as you've mentioned he may reject any attempts of assistance. He is safe where he is at the very least however.

[Aidan nods.]

Yeah, I don't think there is much we can do, which is why I was spending my time trying to placate him. I figured that would be the thing he could spin the least against him. Though he can always play the pity card and he wouldn't be entirely wrong either.

[Celena nods thoughtfully.]

So it would indeed seem.

[She rose an eyebrow to that. Curious as to what specifically Aidan meant as to that.]

Oh? How so?

While we pity him for a reason other than the reason he thinks we pity him. The fact is that his inability to see himself as worthwhile is pitiable, and that is largely the motivation for helping him.

It's only a prideful man who sees pity thrown his way as a bad thing. I've always seen the pity of others as a boon rather than a bane.

That is true indeed, self-worth is something that he has struggled with in all the time that I have known him, despite his situation and the trials he has overcome.

Quite so, though it is likely that any pity turned to him at the current moment will be turned and twisted by the influence.

Doing nothing at this point is probably the best option, but I just don't feel right doing nothing. I'm crazy after all, crazy people don't do nothing. Unless that's what makes them crazy, but that's not how I'm crazy so I should be doing something... [He keeps talking along the same lines.]

[Great, back to this again.]

[Celena raises an eyebrow at his logic.]

'Crazy' as you say, is merely a label, nothing more, it does not mean you have or don't have to do something.

[She ponders a long moment, he was right in that doing nothing didn't feel right and leaving Aidan to run around at the shadow's mercy did not seem like a good idea.]

There may be little we can do for Billy directly, but perhaps make sure everything is all in order for when this immediate influence is over. No doubt he'll be under the weather from the ordeal assuming he remembers it after the fact. Whether simply having everything when he returns or even a small gift or the like might help cheer him up.

What might you think to that?

That's a good idea, but I don't know what to get him aside of computer stuff.
