Well. It ah. Seems I'll have some time on my hands until I get some repairs finished. Fortunately I'm still mobile via my holomatter avatar so any students who I am tutoring should have no break in schedule and everything else is business as usual...

I do have a question however.

I'm just wondering, what is it that humans and other organics do for fun? Or at least to occupy your time?

What's a video game?

It's - [pause. Wow. How does one explain video games.] They're... electronic games that you play on a console. Usually with a TV as well. They're very fun.

Oh! Oh kind of like holo-games but not! Oh! Wow! That sounds like fun.

I don't think I've seen holo-games.

They're usually strategy or games of luck. Displayed in a holographic interface.

Sounds about right. I'm sure you can find something you'll like if you ask around.

Oh, uhm. [uhm.] Not really. It's been a while since I last played.

Oh. [okay. he's not going to question it.] So - what do you do?

What do I do? Well, I mean... that's kind of a broad question. For a job, you mean?

Yeah. [sure.]

Well, here I teach self defense and swordplay. Back home I was um. A soldier. I guess. Kind of.

Oh. [beat.] It's the first time I've met a soldier.

[weapabilities]

Really? You're lucky then. Most of us aren't so pleasant.

I'm sure it's not that bad. [or is he!!]

Heh, you'd be surprised. Fighting for millions of years will make anyone unpleasant.
