So it appears that it has finally come to everyone's attention that this Initiative is terribly unorganized. We are gathered up mere hours before our mission, and we are still given very little to go by save for what little they brief us on. Stop the oncoming army, be sure there are little to no innocent casualties.
Now, I'm no general, but my father had been a great one in his prime and I am at least aware of what is needed from an army through his teachings. And if there has been anything I have learned in the past year is that disorganization is a society's ultimate downfall. I had to witness a civil war break out under my rule thanks to the foolishness and paranoia of others, and I daresay I will not allow that happen here.
We all wish to return home, yes? So far, there have been no mentions of how we are to get home, nor if we will ever return home. However, it is my belief that if we are successful with assisting this rebellion, we may soon find the answer. The only way to successfully help these people is to become organized, sort out our strengths, pick out the soldiers, the healers, the diplomats...anyone who has some skill of use.
What I wish is to call together a meeting. A meeting where we can share what we know in regards to battle and handling political disputes. A way in which we can conduct ourselves like civilized people and hear the thoughts and the opinions of others without them getting lost over the network.
There are multiple ways in which we could do this. Either we can all somehow meet together, or we choose one representative from each household or group to gather information and converse.
We aren't going to get anywhere if we simply sit around waiting to hear word of the next mission. So...does anyone else have any thoughts? Any ideas they are wishing to share? I already know there have been murmurings amongst us to gather, so might as well let everyone hear what you have to say.

[she sounds...a vague mix of pleased and coy if that makes any sense.]
I feel that what you know would, in fact, be of great importance. There is a lot to learn from those of other worlds.
( Voice )
Yes, I feel the same way. It's a pity we didn't arrange a meeting sooner.
( Voice )
If a bastard can be called His Majesty, then there should be no trouble with calling you ser. However, I will call you whatever you see fit, Martin.
[her voice falls a bit, as though to express concern]
Yes, a pity indeed. Though I suppose our first mission did go rather well, all things considering. I feel that we can do better.
( Voice )
It went fine despite the lack of organization. Still, I'm glad I didn't bother braving the battlefield, I would've only caused myself grief.
( Voice )
I did not set one foot on the battlefield myself.
( Voice )
I doubt we missed much.
( Voice )
As do I. And it's best to leave it to those who actually know what they're doing. I suppose it's a good thing we now have four Grey Wardens among us.
( Voice )
And other skilled fighters: knights, spies, mages. We're spoiled for variety, but not leadership.

Are you planning on letting the Initiative know about the meeting? Formally, I mean -- I'm sure they're aware of what goes on on the network.
[Voice]
And I will make my attempts as soon as we organize the how, and the possible when this meeting will take place. I will have to find a way to formally contact whoever is in charge, of course.
The Initiative as a whole, I would assume, would be rather difficult to contact, but I will do my best.
[Voice]
I'm glad to hear that. I don't trust the Initiative to be competent, but I don't want us to make enemies of them, either. It'll be a true test of your skills if you're able to get us all to cooperate.
[Voice]
considering her dad was slaughtered right before her very eyes heh heh.]
A challenge I am willing to take up, of course. Someone has to take a step in this sort of direction, and better someone with experience than one without.
Hopefully it proves successful.
[Voice]
I hope so, too. I'm willing to help however I can.

Though I believe meeting in the library would be best.

I'll be at your meetin', but I was wonderin' what sorta ideas you might already have about us organizin'? Because I heard we're short on medics, for example, an' I was thinkin' where I'm from everyone gets issued a first aid kit an' is trained how to use it. Basic things, like bandaging wounds an' applyin' tourniquets; enough to keep a body alive 'til you can get them off the front. Being able to have trainin' like that available to everyone would help.
We'd also need to figure out what to do with people who ain't gonna cooperate. An' I don't think there's any sort a jail we can throw 'em in 'til they change their minds.
[voice]
[she does note the discomfort, but ignores it. she's used to talking to men who kind of shift at the idea of a woman holding power
even if she has to share it with Alistair bluh bluh bluh]Like I said, my ideas comprise of us establishing our strengths and weaknesses amongst each other so we can best know how to balance each other out and plan for whatever mission the Initiative decides to throw our way.
A basic training course in first aide is actually a wonderful idea. Most soldiers back home are given a supply of poultices to help heal their wounds, so yes...that's exactly the sort of thing we should prepare others for to help ease the strain on the healers. I am to assume you believe you're appropriate for the task?
[a considering pause]
Mmm, you're correct, there must be some way to handle dissenters. The last thing we need are people who simply refuse to cooperate.
[voice]
Not sure as I'm the right person for that job, ma'am. I'm not a medic; just a platoon sergeant. I'd be a lot more qualified leadin' smaller groups into battle, if anythin'.
I'd say we could just shoot them, but that might not make us any more popular than the bastards that brought us here.
Er, pardon my language, ma'am.
[voice]
[she's smiling at that suggestion actually, and makes no mention of the language used because lmao she don't give a shit.]
I would have suggested a swift execution, as that is how we deal with potential problems back home, but I assume that would not go quite well around here, especially considering my title holds little weight in this realm.
[permavoice]
::Well played, madame.::
Unfortunate, that. I doubt the Articles of War hold any meanin' here either, otherwise I'd offer that as justification. Guess someone will have to figure out a different way. ::He hopes his tone makes it clear that he means someone else, not him, he's not volunteering for that also.::

I will let everyone know when I sort the arrangements out.

Ah, yes. Let us hope we can meet with little anger, but I do wonder about some of the people here.
voice
It's merely a means of finding a common goal...assuming the majority of us wish to return home.
Permavideo
I shall be there. I might have a few ideas or at least see some connections others may not.
[permatext]
[ What, that's it? Yes. For now. Bariyan certainly has thoughts but he's not terribly willing to voice them aloud right now. ]
[permavoice] because fuck keyboards man.
Re: [permavoice] because fuck keyboards man.
And I am not sure that the Initiative will take kindly to this, though it may be their own fault.

But since that does not appear to be your intention, then I would be sure to make that as clear to the Initiative as possible. Only a suggestion.

[BLUH BLUH BLUH SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING]
I've been a diplomat and a ruler for nearly six years now, I believe I know how to make my intentions as clear as day.
