[Jesse is completely tweaking, which might be apparent to those who've gotten to know him, as his energy level is doubled. Not over-the-top, but a change from his default state of dead-eyed depression. He's excited!]

Hey, yo. 'sup, new guys. I'm Jesse Pinkman and I'm sorry I wasn't around to say hello the day you all showed up, but I was kinda busy with some real stupid shit. Anyway, that's all over now, so I'm all like - hey, let's do the friendly neighbor thing. 'cause, you know, it sucks balls showing up here at the end of the world all outta nowhere.

Anyway, I baked a bunch of cookies and shit, 'cause that's like the only thing to do around here since we don't even got TV. So anybody with some munchies or whatever, looking for some fine baked goods, you just drop by room 409 and I am here to deliver. It's delicious, yo. Ask Collette or Rin or Claire. They'll back me up on this.

You wanna stick around and smoke or drink, too, that's cool. I ain't saying it's a party, but it's a party.

Right, okay... [She's sort of feeling embarrassed for him. Should she peel the communicator out of his hands and babysit for a while? But he does seem sort of with it. Whatever. She shows up in about five anyway. It's kind of nice with everyone living in the same building. Carrying her sword, as usual, and impressed with the repair job to his door. Good job good good. Jiggling the knob experimentally. Does he ever even lock his door?]

[Not when he's expecting people to show up for a party! He's in the kitchen, rearranging things, although he pops around the corner a moment after he hears the door open.]

Hey! You didn't demolish it this time!

... It was like that when I got there.

Like what even? What even happened to that door? Wow.

Musta been zombies. Who broke in and decided not to eat me on account of I smelled too much like one of 'em.

Who knows? Stranger things have happened. It could have been. [Help her face is frozen like this this is embarrassing]

So how about those cookies.

[He laughs, not even a little bit mad. He waves her over to follow him into the kitchen - where a truly disturbing number of freshly baked cookies are waiting. He's been at this for a long time. As in, all day. The magic of meth.]

Come on, they're all in here.

[Right. She glances around him into that kitchen and actually feels kind of perturbed. He's just the little engine energizer bunny here or something and is that normal after nearly being executed for murder? She reaches out to take his elbow and try and turn him around so she can actually look him in the eye.]

Are you okay?

[hostage]

[He turns and looks at her, surprised by that.]

Huh? Yeah, I'm good.

[The answer comes easily because he doesn't think he's lying. He feels good right now. Why shouldn't he? He's been working all day making this stuff and it's come out great. And it'll be even better when people come over and start eating all of it. That's the best, making something people like.]

I'm good.

That just seemed like a tense situation. [It's awkward to hang onto him. She pats him on the shoulder once or twice instead and then backs off.] I'm glad it worked out okay. It shaped up as well as anybody could expect.

Yeah. Totally.

[He's already turning away, avoiding Rin's gaze as he busies himself with rearranging cookies that don't need any rearranging.]

[She can read which way the wind is blowing and she can definitely tell when things are getting awkward. CHEERFULLY:] So which kind is the best?

There's no best. They're all special. They're masterpieces.
